Common uses

Before using
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with this medicine. INFORM

you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions including
throat (esophagus) disease, heart disease (e.g., abnormal heart rhythms,
congestive heart failure), swallowing problems (e.g., history of aspiration),
electrolyte imbalances (e.g., hyperkalemia), history of alcohol use, allergies,
pregnancy, or breast-feeding. USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you
have appendicitis or a history of bowel obstruction. Contact your doctor or
pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about using this medicine.
Directions
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Your
doctor will tell you when to start using this medicine. BEFORE USING THIS
MEDICINE fill the container with the amount of water indicated on the package
label. SHAKE WELL. After preparing the solution, STORE THIS MEDICINE in the
refrigerator in a tightly-closed container. Use within 48 hours. CHILLING THIS
MEDICINE improves the taste. Do not add sugar, sweetening agents, or other
additives to this medicine. SHAKE WELL before taking each dose. DRINK 7 TO 10
OUNCES of this medicine every 10 minutes until the stool is watery, clear, and
free of all solid matter, or until it is gone. It is best to drink each portion
quickly rather than sipping it. Rinsing your mouth with mouthwash after each
glass of medicine may help get rid of the taste. Discard any unused portion of
this medicine.
Possible side effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may occur during treatment, include nausea, bloating,
increased thirst, stomach fullness or cramps, vomiting, or rectal irritation. If
they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY if you experience seizure, persistent or severe nausea and vomiting,
vomiting of blood, severe stomach pain, severe stomach bloating or swelling,
slow or irregular heartbeat, chest pain, muscle weakness, or trouble sleeping.
An allergic reaction to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical
attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching,
swelling, dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not
listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
If you take too much
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or
emergency room immediately.
